[Sejong=Newspim] Reporter Kyoung-tae Yi = "I live in Korea and want to understand Korean society and culture, but the language barrier makes it difficult."

Amid growing interest in Korea's politics, economy, society, and culture, an artificial intelligence (AI) service has been launched that allows foreigners to easily understand major issues in their native languages.

Comprehensive news agency Newspim announced on the 19th that it can provide more detailed information to foreign residents in Korea through its real-time AI translation service supporting 52 languages, which is one of the core features of its recently launched 'AI MY News' service.

The biggest characteristic of this service lies in its extremely simple usage. When reading articles on the Newspim website or app and finding the language difficult, users need only click a single translation button. They can then immediately read the article completely translated into their native language.

Until now, many foreigners living in Korea have commonly faced difficulties. While their Korean skills have reached conversational levels for daily life, they still fall short when it comes to understanding news or specialized content.

Without a deep understanding of political, economic, and social issues, it's difficult to properly integrate into Korean society. This is because they feel isolated in conversations with workplace colleagues or miss important social changes.

Newspim's AI translation service goes beyond simple word translation. The key is not the basic translation conversion provided by internet browsers, but understanding context and translating naturally according to the characteristics of each language. Complex terms in economics, politics, and technology are accurately converted into appropriate expressions in each language, while uniquely Korean expressions or idioms are naturally adapted to fit each country's culture. A major advantage is that real-time translation into all languages is possible simultaneously when articles are published, eliminating any time lag in information delivery.

The currently supported 52 languages include all major countries' languages. This includes not only English, Chinese, and Japanese, but also Southeast Asian languages such as Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian; European languages such as German, French, and Spanish; and extends broadly to include Arabic, Hindi, and others.

This service is expected to be of great help not only to individuals but also to global companies that have entered the Korean market. It is anticipated that employees of foreign companies who need to stay updated on Korean market trends and policy changes in real-time will actively utilize this service.

The AI translation service is expected to serve as a bridge of communication connecting Korea and the world, going beyond simple translation functions. Newspim plans to continuously support foreigners living in Korea to gain a deeper understanding of Korean society and establish themselves as genuine members of the community.

To use Newspim's AI translation service, users simply need to log in to the Newspim website or mobile app (Android), click on the desired article, press the global button (globe icon) at the top of the article, and select their preferred language.

Along with this, Newspim plans to expand its AI MY News features by generating customized content for foreigners through AI.
